The vampire hit movie 'Twilight' with four trophies won was an absolute winner of the People's Choice awards in Los Angeles. This mega hit which has delighted millions of teenagers around the world, won the award for Favorite ON-SCREEN TEAM, Favorite MOVIE, Favorite FRANCHISE and Favorite BREAKOUT MOVIE ACTOR (Taylor Lautner for the Jacob Black role).

The 17-year-old teen queen Miley Cyrus won the prize for the best new actress for her role in "Hannah Montana: The Movie". Popular Taylor Swift received her first People's Choice Award as the best singer.

Award for the Best Actor was given to Johnny Depp, and for the Best Actress to Sandra Bullock. Inglorious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino's movie were declared the best independent film, the series' Dr. House's won award for the best TV drama series and best actor was Hugh Laurie in the same category.

Awards also won series' The Big Bang Theory ,' Supernatural, Glee 'and' The Vampire Diaries. Two music awards for the best pop singer and best new artist won Lady Gaga.

This was the 36th People's Choice award in 35 different categories. This is American award in the entertainment industry, and winners are selected by public vote. This year, the Internet reached 60 million votes, the highest so far.
